The below questions are for practicing measurement of length, area and volume by hands on experiments. We will understand the measurements of length in 0D, 1 D 2D and 3D.
For solving them you may need to visit your local grocery store and stationary!

1.1) Which measurement tool will you use to measure your own height ?

1.2) Measure your height and the height of 2 family members.
1.3) Measure the height of pen and pencil in your box.
1.4) Measure the height of your home or school building (1st floor and 2nd floor) in meters using trignometric ratio “tan”.

1.5) Measure the height of a tree in the nearby garden.

2.2) Measure length, breadth and perimeter of an A4 size paper in centimeter and inches.
2.3) Measure area of A4 size paper in square centimeter and square inch.

2.4) Find the area of the class room black board in square meter.
2.5) Convert all answers in 1 and 2 in SI units (Convert to meter for length and square meter for area).

3.1) Take a carton box from grocery and measure the length, width and height in centimeter.
3.2) Mark each side with number 1 to 6 and measure their surface area in square centimeter. Are the opposite sides having same area ?
